KIRAN was born as a brand in September 2004, when it was first introduced as Kiran International by the late Nurul Islam Mallick. The name Kiran was carefully chosen to resonate in the Middle East as an Indian identity while carrying a deeper meaning. Since the company began its journey in Kuwait, the name KIRAN was also expanded as Kuwait India Research Advance Networks.
Beyond its acronym, Kiran holds profound significance. In Indian languages, it means “Roshni”—Rays of Light. Symbolically, it represents the rays of the dawn sun that break through the darkness, bringing illumination and clarity. This philosophy mirrors the company’s mission: to help customers move from darkness (problems) to light (solutions).
The essence of the founder’s name is also reflected in the brand. Nurul Islam translates to “Noor of Islam”, where Noor in Arabic means Light. Thus, Kiran as a brand beautifully bridges cultures and languages, unified by the concept of “light.”
Early Years and Growth
Kiran International began its operations in Kuwait with services in heavy equipment supply, human resources for projects, and electrical contracting. In 2005, the company diversified into Information Technology, under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Mubin Mallick, son of Late Nurul Islam Mallick.
As the IT division grew and established itself as a reliable solutions provider, Dr. Mohammed Mubin Mallick launched a new company, Kiran Technical, in 2010, dedicated to IT services and solutions.

With the world rapidly advancing into smart technologies, automation, robotics, and AI, Dr. Mohammed Mubin Mallick envisioned expanding the KIRAN brand into the future of digital transformation. This vision led to the creation of KIRAN SMART in 2019, headquartered in Dubai (UAE) and Bangalore (India).
Today, KIRAN SMART stands as an international brand, carrying forward the legacy of innovation, light, and transformation—true to the meaning of its name.
While Kiran Smart was founded by Dr. Mohammed Mubin Mallick who is Robotics Enthusiast to lead the market in GCC with robotics solution. During COVID-19 the world was locked down but Kiran Smart played a major role to save humanity during this Pandemic under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Mubin Mallick. Robots from Kiran Smart was deployed into different business, industries to keep the operations smooth and not get disrupted. Kiran Smart got huge success and global recognition during COVID 19.
Finally, COVID -19 made KIRAN Smart a robotics leaders in GCC as robotics services and solution provider for different industries.
